DTN/Progressive Farmer and Farmers' Independent Research of Seed Technologies (FIRST) have teamed up to offer an in-field view of crop development around the Corn Belt. This project aims to produce time-lapse video of corn growth progress in FIRST plots in eight locations within five states.
DTN will use the videos to illustrate conditions around the Corn Belt and mid-Atlantic, adding on-the-ground detail regarding conditions the fields are experiencing in this drought-trend year. The images will also help FIRST convey information about the hybrid yield performances in these locations, which will be reported in their Top 30 Harvest Reports this fall.
