AgUpdate — FIRST results for northern Red River Valley available online
The wet conditions last fall drug out harvest and made it somewhat difficult to find locations for the 2020 FIRST plots, according to Luke Brendemuhl, manager of the Red River Valley Northland FIRST region. But thanks to completely different conditions this fall allowing harvesting operations to be completed, all of the FIRST (Farmers Independent Research of Seed Technologies) plot information is now available on the website for the region.
AgUpdate - FIRST corn shows consistent yields outside extreme weather zones
Although there were challenges on Midwest farms in 2020, the corn crop stood tall for many farmers this harvest season, allowing for a good range of data in yield tests.

The Performance Summary reports for 2020 FIRST yield trials are available now! They highlight the top performances of corn and soybean products available from the distinguished seed industry partners who entered FIRST tests in 2020.
