Soybean News:
Testing of Liberty, Roundup, and non-GMO soybeans will be offered in 2010. The following regions will accept all soybean varieties within specified maturity limits: |

Wanted: Soybean growers that use Conventional Herbicides
We need growers willing host test sites that use conventional soybean herbicides allowing us to compare Roundup Ready, Liberty Link and non-GMO soybean products. Participating growers are asked to prepare the soil and apply conventional crop protection products as usual, while F.I.R.S.T. personnel will plant and harvest all plots. Growers will receive all harvested grain.Desired Production Areas:
Indiana Counties:
Boone, Clay, Delaware, Fayette, Fountain, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Henry, Johnson, Madison, Marion, Montgomery, Morgan, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Randolph, Rush, Shelby, Union, Vermillion, Vigo, and Wayne.

New F.I.R.S.T. Personnel: Mark Tollefson – Has been promoted to Field Manager operating all F.I.R.S.T. regions in South Dakota and North Dakota. In 2008, Mark conducted all tests in the Dakotas under the direction of Mark Querna. Mark has B.S. degrees in Marketing and Management from Mankato State University.
Tim Dozier - is a new Associate Field Manager for eastern Nebraska. Tim has 17 years of experience in agricultural research in the 4 corners area of Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, and Nebraska. He has considerable experience in the research and development of crop protection products. In 2006, Tim initiated an agricultural research business based in Springfield, NE to serve the crop protection and seed sectors. Joining the F.I.R.S.T. program brings additional diversity to his successful business.
